Google: Color me Purple

“Purple Google” is one of the hottest queries for googlers at the moment and Hutchens Chronicle wanted to find out what the buzz was all about. As it happens some hackers out there have discovered a way to change the Google page into a host of bright colors. The kicker is that it is all cool with Google.

It is well known that Google can be embedded by bloggers and other users into their sites so it was inevitable that Purple Google happened. To be accurate it is really Google Purple and the creator has a host of other colors you can choose to create your own Google homepage. We love the new colors and are looking at Google Purple as fun new trend.

Google Purple uses the traditional Google Search by allowing web designers to embed an actual Google Search box in their websites through the Adsense program, which is what Google Purple uses.

Google Purple, as a home page, will not put out a bunch of advertisements.

Google purple and its sister sites all use a Google Search and encourage people to continue to use Google. It is good for Google to show a little slack and demonstrate their appreciation to the creative fans who admire the revered search engine.

Will the real Kate Walsh please stand up!

kate_walsh

Sandy Hutchens is used to seeing through frauds and this one is no exception. Actress Kate Walsh is pleading with fans not to become friends with hackers pretending to be as a Facebook persona. What happened? An impostor scammed her neighbour with messages on a phony Facebook page.

The actress from Private Practice was outraged when she discovered that an online fraud had planned a dinner date with her neighbour.

Kate Walsh explained, “There are people out there apparently pretending to be me… (My neighbour) was like… ‘You said you were going to come over and have wine and hang out – on your Facebook. My wife is a huge fan and we’ve been Facebooking you.’”

Walsh had to see the messages herself to believe the Facebook scam: “He showed me his computer and somebody is pretending to be me on Facebook.”

The real Kathleen Erin “Kate” Walsh was born October 13, 1967 and is well known film and television actress. She is adored by her fans for her role as Dr. Addison Montgomery on the ABC dramas Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice.

Her film work began with the crime drama Normal Life where she played a bank robber’s (Luke Perry) sister. She played a kleptomaniac in the Peppermills.

Walsh also made an appearance in the cult film, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Part 2. Her first significant role in a Hollywood production was as Will Ferrell’s wife in the comedy, Kicking & Screaming, alongside Robert Duvall and Mike Ditka. Walsh has performed in several other films with Ferrell, including Bewitched (with Nicole Kidman) and in Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie.

In 2003, Walsh acted in Under the Tuscan Sun, with Diane Lane and Sandra Oh. She performed the role of the partner of Grey’s Anatomy co-star Sandra Oh’s character. Regarding her various lesbian roles, Walsh said: “Do I give off a girl-on-girl vibe, I wonder? Or is it because I’m tall? I guess the chicks just dig me!”

Walsh was going to star with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson in the supernatural thriller 1408, but she was forced to drop out because of scheduling conflicts. Walsh is planned to be starring alongside Dennis Quaid and Paul Bettany in the biblical horror film Legion, due out January 22, 2010.

Walsh will make a brief appearance in the new MGM film, Hot Tub Time Machine, starring John Cusack, Rob Corddry and Craig Robinson. The film is due to be released on February 26, 2010.

Cloud Computing Carries Legal Risks Warns Sandy Hutchens

Sandy Hutchens says there are extra precautions that businesses and services need to consider when adopting cloud computing. Scalable resources provided over the internet carry security, legal access and data backup issues.

Your data may be compromised and you may not have a backup copy of sensitive data.Check your security protocols as well as how your data is processed so that you can move fast and retrieve your data in the case of emergency. Also end-users need the flexibility to determine how their data is processed.

Sandy Hutchens advises that vendors should properly market their services so that end-users will know they are secure. End users need the ability to retrieve their data as well as they need to.

Data portability is the talk of the Tech Industry but it is a thing of the future which continues to put the onus of data portability on customers. Service providers need to reassure their clients about security issues including threats from hackers and any electronic issues that could suddenly arise.

Network-based storage of data needs to meet requirements for the protection of data for the correct legal time period so that it can be produced in the event of legal action.

Government requests or court orders should make vendors pause and consider carefully if they have the functionality in the event that such a situation should arise.

For those who would like to learn more about cloud computing Sandy Hutchens has provided a video.
